Went in to do some work on my laptop and went to the side glassed area where the interactive darts and big screen for sports … sat there working and all I could hear is a young female wearing a chequered shirt and black t shirt underneath! She had reddish/ dark black hair and she was swearing using extreme offensive language at the chef over the pass, she was very loud …. Not what I’d expect to hear from a young woman ( certainly not a lady ) I was going to invite friends for lunch but couldn’t bare hearing her type of language anymore … such a shame as the concept and venue is perfect ! Retraining is needed for this individual, on a positive note the young lady all in black her served me first was professional and extremely attentive … (as an experienced cluster GM myself I hope this feed back will help this site going forward.) Such a shame as I’ve been into a couple of #urbanvillages and loved the vibe … ps Watling Street Urban is awesome 🙌

We had the function room for a private do. A lot of stairs involved, firstly to get to the room and then the toilets are up even more stairs. Gents toilets had some dodgy wiring. Luckily our party outweighed the negatives.

Special Family Birthday party held ... Paul and Jane and all staff went above and beyond to make it a great time. Highly recommended for private functions ! 100% a massive thank you 😊

Lovely pub warm welcome very clean lovely outside space to sit. Good selection of drinks food was amazing thank you to mason for looking after me nice and polite always checking if food was ok. Highly recommended perfect all round. 😊

Excellent service!! Super busy night, but JJ was wonderful and generous with his service. The pizza was exactly what we wanted. And, incredible buffalo wings! Loved the ciders we had too!

What a brilliant venue for my 40th birthday. From start to finish, the team were so helpful and couldn’t have done more on the run up to, and on the night of, to make it run so smoothly. Special thanks to Paul for all of his help in the set up, and for Mason and team on the night.

We had a celebration for my nieces birthday at the weekend and the private function room was great and the bar staff bought us food and it was very nice

9 of us visited this beautiful little pub on Monday evening to have a meal with our lovely colleague who was moving on to a new job. We were not disappointed. The service was warm and friendly. The food hot fresh and delicious 😋 I had the scampi, chips and mushy peas. One of our group chose the BOGOF burger offer, eating one meal at the table, whilst taking the other home. 2 of our group had pizzas, which were huge and very tasty. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing. Have been here before with friends for lunch also and will return again. Thank you! 😊

A great place in Abingdon to drink and eat. They have great fries by the way. We tried beer battered fried onions and garlicky chicky fries. They were fantastic. And vegan burgers are also nice.

Pros: As a vegetarian I often struggle due the lack of choice at pubs, but here I was blown away by the array of different burgers I could eat (for reference, I went with the halloumi burger and have no regrets). Great choice of beers on tap, too (including Blue Moon, a wheat beer). Also, great value! Cons: I'd give this place 5 stars, but unfortunately most their staff weren't wearing masks and weren't asking people to wear them either. The owners strike me as people who either don't care or aren't that bothered about covid. Not such a big issue, but the ordering app was non-functional in the hands of our group.
